Boston University - TERRIERS
A STEDI award winner, this program suffered the infamous sign error in
the ACS software that causes it's solar array to point away from the sun,
which, exacerbated by other difficulties, caused the loss of the mission.

CalPoly San Luis Obispo
CalSpace
The California branch of the NASA Space Grant system. Currently
focused primarily on activities at UCSD, the program is making inroads
into the rest of California.

Colorado Space Grant Consortium
One of the premier state programs of NASA's Space Grant system with
several sounding rocket payloads and experience with real flight hardware
on many missions as well as key roles in several current missions
including Three Corner Sat and Citizen Explorer.

Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP)
One of the largest and most active space research groups in academia,
part of the University of Colorado and occasional competitor/collaborator
with the Colorado Space Grant Consortium. LASP ran the successful
SNOE satellite program under a STEDI award.

United States Naval Academy
University of California at Berkeley - CHIPSat
CHIPSat was one of two UNEX award winners, and the only one currently
manifested for launch (expected in late 2002, depending on ICESat).
The CHIPSat bus and ground system were developed by SpaceDev.

University of New Hampshire - CATSAT
CATSAT was one of three STEDI award winners, but was not manifested
for launch due to problems which arose during development. The
program is currently hoping to be resurrected if they can find a donated
launch.

University of Southern California - Traveler
A relatively new program which is currently building a sounding rocket
payload for a Microcosm-donated Scorpius launch and hopes to follow it
with an orbital version soon after. The program has some brand new,
first rate vacuum test facilities on campus.
